It started its life as a 8800GTS, then got re badged to a 9800GTX which was then tweaked to get the 9800GTX+ and is now a GTS250. OK I will admit the 9800GTX+ is a good card. I personally own one and love it, but i don't see the point in the move to call it the GTS250. I also don't see why every reviewer out there are bias and make this card come out on top over the 9800GTX+. Both cards are identical, in pretty much every way. Oh sure the GTS has a smaller PCB size and is more energy efficient. But that along wouldn't make it 15-20% better in terms of FPS.
If nVidia hadn't been so stupid as to buy to much silicon wafer then we wouldn't be in this mess.
Anyone think this is a good move by nVidia? Tell me what you think.

The card still seems to be very competitive, so it makes sense for nVidia to keep rebadging it.
New boxes and names are cheaper than designing new silicon ;)
